North Korea (Korea) announced it will hold the annual session of parliament in April to officially designate Kim Jong Un as a new leader in the country.
"The annual session of parliament will be held on 13 April in the upcoming issue of launching satellites into space to mark the 100th anniversary of the birthday of North Korean founder Kim Il Sung," North Korea's KCNA newspaper told Reuters on Saturday (24/03/2012).
Official appointment of Kim Jong Un as the leader of North Korea was considered would reduce the number of concerns related to the seizure of power after the death of paramount leader Kim Jong II in the country.
Previously a number of parties considered Kim Jong Un will be more lenient in the lead North Korea after his father who died last December. But the announcement of a satellite launch to be conducted in April denied it.
North Korea's announcement that it will launch its satellites will say next April has come under fire from several countries, including the United States (U.S.), Japan, China and South Korea.
Even China, a key ally of North Korea has asked the country to refrain from rash to avoid increasing escalation of the conflict on the Korean Peninsula region.
North Korea's nuclear issue is also expected to be the main topics discussed in the meeting of the Nuclear Security Summit to be held in Seoul, South Korea in April.
